Selecting the correct elastomer is the primary determinant of service life. For general hydraulic applications, we utilize NBR, which offers excellent resistance to mineral oils and provides the necessary elasticity for a reliable interference fit. For high-temperature environments or systems involving aggressive chemical agents and fuels, we recommend FKM. FKM retains its mechanical properties up to 220°C and provides superior swelling resistance compared to standard NBR. Our formulation process ensures these materials maintain their compression set resistance, preventing the seal from hardening or cracking over extended operating cycles.

The TBV seal is designed for industrial efficiency, allowing for straightforward installation into existing housings without the need for extensive shaft disassembly. During fitting, it is crucial to ensure the shaft surface roughness. Once installed, the seal’s low-friction design significantly lowers operating temperatures, which is the leading cause of seal degradation. We recommend periodic inspection of the lip contact area; however, due to the high-grade elastomer composition, the TBV series provides an extended maintenance interval, reducing labor costs and equipment downtime.
