Our standard TG4 seals utilize high-grade NBR, which exhibits excellent resistance to petroleum-based oils, hydraulic fluids, and grease within a broad thermal window. For extreme-temperature applications or aggressive chemical media, we offer custom formulations in FKM. NBR provides a highly cost-effective, low-friction interface with excellent wear resistance, whereas FKM should be selected when operating temperatures exceed standard thresholds or when synthetic lubricants threaten polymer degradation.

Achieving optimal service life from the TG4 oil seal depends heavily on correct installation practices. The rubber-covered OD provides a forgiving press-fit into the housing, minimizing the risk of damage to the bore during assembly. Maintenance intervals are significantly extended due to the low-friction lip design, which minimizes heat generation at the contact zone. During routine inspections, the auxiliary dust lip prevents external ingress, protecting the primary seal from abrasive wear. When replacement is required, the flexible yet robust steel-reinforced elastomeric body allows for straightforward extraction without scoring the shaft or housing surfaces.
