Washing machine seals operate in a uniquely challenging chemical environment, constantly exposed to harsh detergents, bleaches, and fluctuating water temperatures. To combat this, our 35*72.4*10mm seals are injection-molded from a specialized, high-density Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR). This optimized NBR matrix maintains its elastic memory and resists hydrolysis in warm aqueous solutions up to 90°C. Crucially, it resists the chemical swelling and softening that standard industrial rubbers experience when subjected to commercial laundry chemicals, preventing premature tub leaks and extending the appliance’s lifecycle.

From an appliance repair perspective, a failed tub seal almost inevitably leads to seized drum bearings. When installing this 35*72.4*10mm replacement, technicians must rigorously inspect the stainless steel drive shaft (the spider arm shaft). The sealing surface must be perfectly smooth and polished to a finish of 0.2 to 0.4 μm Ra; any grooving or hard-water mineral buildup will rapidly shred the new NBR lip. Before pressing the seal squarely into the 72.4mm tub bore, it is absolutely critical to pack the internal cavity of the seal (between the lips) with a dedicated waterproof lithium or silicone grease. This provides essential boundary lubrication, preventing destructive “dry-rub” friction during the machine’s initial agitation cycles.
